Parking & fines

On the street you start parking in the phone app Parking while standing by the car. Pay for the time you stand (up to 12 hours), or buy 1-24 hours up front. Bought time can be extended from anywhere.

Rates per hour: downtown and the airport 100 kr., the rest of Los Santos and Sandy Shores 60 kr. Outside the zones it is free, but park in the app anyway.

Bays at the garages: get out of the car in the bay and you buy an hour at a time (40-120 kr.). The car is locked and can't be damaged.

Parking fines are given by the police and by the parking warden – only in a paid zone, and only if you have not paid:

• No parking: 600 kr.
• Time expired: 350 kr. plus 100 kr. per started hour over, at most 1,500 kr.

The fine sits as a ticket in the windscreen and is paid as a bill at the bank. A car with an unpaid fine can be towed to the impound lot by the police.

When you log off, your cars are driven home after 30 minutes:

• Bay with paid time: free
• Parked on the street, or a bay without paid time: 250 kr.
• Not parked at all: the impound lot, 750 kr.
