Rules & roleplay
The workshops are on the map: Los Santos Customs in Vinewood, at the airport, in East, in Sandy Shores and in Paleto, and Benny's.
Repairs and tuning
Drive into the workshop and press E from the driver's seat. Every car can be repaired, but only your own car can be tuned, and you only pay for what actually changes.
- Mechanic on duty: he runs the menu, and you say yes and pay by card. He fits the parts afterwards
- Nobody on duty: you do it yourself with a 25 % surcharge
Wear and faults
Your car wears the more you drive: tyres, brakes, oil, clutch and more. A worn car drives worse, and after 1,000 km faults can appear in the brakes, gearbox, radiator or oil pressure. The lamps by the speedometer show it.
A mechanic services the car with his tablet. If nobody is on duty, talk to the workshop in Vinewood or at Benny's (Left Alt) – it costs double.
Stuck on the road?
Type /mekaniker or call from the phone's Services. The mechanic can pick the car up on a flatbed. Cancel with /mekaflys.
Nitrous is fitted and filled by a mechanic, and you use it with L-SHIFT. Nitrous and anti-lag can't be fitted to electric cars.
