Buying a car & car loans

New vehicles are bought from a dealer: Zorix Bilhus, Premium Deluxe Motorsport,

Bådhandlen (boats) and Flyhandlen (aircraft). All four are on the map.

How to buy

Walk up to a car on display and hold Left Alt. You pick the model and colour, see the

price and can take a test drive of two minutes — afterwards you are dropped back at the

dealer, wherever you drove to.

You pay in cash or by card (the card must be on you – using someone else's card, you need their PIN). The new

car waits at the delivery spot, you have the keys, and it is registered at the nearest garage.

If the spot is taken, the car is in the garage instead.

Some dealers are owned by players. Then you cannot buy on your own — talk to a

salesperson, who sends you an offer you can accept or decline.

Car loans

If you do not have the full amount, you can borrow the rest from Zorix Bank, right at the

purchase.

• You pay at least 20 % yourself (20, 30, 40 or 50 %)
• The rest is paid off over 12, 24 or 36 instalments. The longer, the more the loan costs
• One instalment is taken from your main account for every hour you are online
• You can pay extra or pay off the loan at the bank or in the phone's Wallet

The car is collateral. While the loan runs, the car cannot be sold or change owner.

If you do not pay

If there is not enough money in the account when an instalment is due, you miss it. **Four

missed instalments**, and the bank takes the car: it is driven to the impound lot and cannot

be collected.

You then have 7 days (real time, not online time) to pay off the remaining debt plus a

fee of 10,000 kr. at the bank. Do that, and you can collect the car at the impound lot for

the usual fee.

If you do not pay in time, the car is scrapped. Its scrap value — 30 % of the list

price — is deducted from the debt, and the rest becomes a bill from Zorix Bank that cannot be

declined. While that bill is unpaid, you cannot take out a new loan.
